The third title in Katz's "Elf Academy" series is an easy-to-follow, fun, fast read with short paragraphs and chapters, big fonts, and gentle humor. Isik's lively illustrations show a diverse cast. A table of contents, cast of characters, vocabulary list, and discussion questions help emerging readers engage with the story while sharpening their reading and comprehension skills. Finding quality holiday-themed chapter books that hold early readers' attention can be challenging for media specialists and public librarians, which makes this one an appealing purchase.
